How it works
From a click to a lead
When someone from your campaign fills in your landing page's form, they become a warm lead linked to that campaign, and their entry lands in your inbox to answer.
Your landing page's form turns a click into a lead. Someone clicks in your campaign email, lands on your page and fills in its form. Now they're a lead, linked to the campaign and the page that brought them, and in front of you to answer.
What a submission leads to
| Result | When |
|---|---|
| It's kept in Submissions | Always |
| It becomes a conversation in your inbox | Unless you turn that off |
| It joins a list | Only if you choose one |
| A sequence starts | Only if one starts from that campaign's form, and the campaign was sent to them |
Someone your campaign wasn't sent to can still fill in the form. Their entry still reaches your inbox, but no sequence starts for them.
Worth more than a click
A click is worth 10 points, and a form 40. A lead turns warm at 30 points, so filling in a form makes them a warm lead at once.
Straight to your inbox
Entries that are enquiries become conversations in your inbox, answered like a reply, from the sending domain that reached the person. That's on for every landing page form unless you turn it off, and every entry stays in Submissions either way.
Adding them to a list
Under Add them to a list, you choose:
- Don't add them to a list: the default. They reached the page from your email, so they're already on your list.
- Ask permission with a checkbox: only people who tick it are added. This is the recommended choice.
Bots kept out
An entry is saved only once the page's signed form link checks out, the hidden trap field has been checked, and the visitor is within the limit: at most 5 submissions per visitor and 30 per page every 10 minutes.
See it under Forms
Open Forms.
Choose Landing page forms. A landing page's form appears here by itself, and its entries go to Submissions.
Open a form.
Open its Notifications tab. Send entries to the inbox makes each entry a conversation you can answer.
Open its Settings tab. Add them to a list is your choice, and it's off by default.
Below it, Spam protection: the hidden trap field, the signed form link that renews itself, and the limits on how often one visitor can submit.
To make the page itself, follow Write a landing page. To follow up with the people who fill it in, see What starts a sequence.
