Question
How long does a campaign take to send?
It goes out at a natural pace across each day's sending window, at each domain's quota. A small list can finish in a day; a big one takes longer, and that's what keeps it out of spam.
A campaign goes out at a natural pace: a steady drip across the hours it sends in, never all at once. So how long it takes depends on three things:
| What | How it changes the time |
|---|---|
| How many people it goes to | More people, more time |
| How many sending domains it uses | Each one adds its own quota |
| Each domain's quota | It grows as the domain carries real traffic |
Say a domain starts with a quota of 40 a day to Google. Four domains send 160 a day to Google, spread across the window. Quotas grow with real demand, so the more you send, the faster it can go.
A campaign that pauses picks up at the same pace. Time not used is never made up with a burst.

The campaign's report counts what has gone out so far.
Send faster
Add sending domains. Each one carries its own share: Find and add sending domains.
How the pace is worked out: Traffic governance.
