Question
Can I upload a list I bought?
No. Everyone on a list must have asked to hear from you, and you confirm that as you upload it. Bought or scraped lists aren't allowed.
No. Every list needs the consent of everyone on it. As you upload, you tick to confirm it, and the import can't start without it.
Why not
- People who never asked to hear from you report it as spam.
- Bought lists are full of dead addresses, and dead addresses bounce.
- Both harm the sending domains your mail goes out from.
A campaign that bounces too much, or draws spam reports, stops itself: A campaign that protects itself.
Grow your own list instead
- A sign-up form on your website: Collect sign-ups with a form.
- A landing page that turns a click into a contact: From a click to a lead.
